Camatta Lawyers may collect personal information from you in the course of our business.  This policy applies when Camatta Lawyers receives personal information from you, our clients or other third parties including in the following circumstances:

  • when you contact or request information from Camatta Lawyers;
  • when Camatta Lawyers provide legal services to you or the organisation you work for;

If the personal information Camatta Lawyers request is not provided, Camatta Lawyers may be unable to supply complete services.

How long do Camatta Lawyers keep your information?

Camatta Lawyers will retain your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary, subject to legal, accounting and reporting requirements.  In some circumstances, you may request that Camatta Lawyers delete your information.

How do Camatta Lawyers protect your personal information?

Camatta Lawyers value your privacy and take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is kept protected in accordance with the APPs.  Camatta Lawyers’ personnel are required to respect the confidentiality of personal information and the privacy of individuals, and personal information is held securely in paper or electronic files.  Camatta Lawyers takes all reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Where required by law, Camatta Lawyers will notify you and any relevant authority of data security breaches.

If Camatta Lawyers disclose your personal information to a third party who is overseas, Camatta Lawyers will take reasonable steps to ensure that they do not breach the APPs.

If you would like to request a copy of your personal information, or would like to exercise any of your rights please contact us as set out below.  Camatta Lawyers may refuse to provide access where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) provides for refusal.
Camatta Lawyers endeavour to make sure that personal information Camatta Lawyers hold is accurate, complete and up-to-date.  You are also entitled to request that Camatta Lawyers rectify any error in the personal information held by us.  If you would like to make a correction to your personal information, please contact us as set out below.
